Time per session: 5–15 min for 5 vehicles  |  🚀 Replaces: 3–4 hours of manual work
1
Open Your Inventory Page
Navigate to the page that lists your vehicles

In Chrome, go to your dealer's inventory URL — the same page you saved in Settings when you first set up the extension.

This is usually your DMS or dealer website's "Inventory" or "Cars for Sale" page. Make sure you're logged into your DMS if the inventory page requires authentication.

💡 Bookmark your inventory URL in Chrome for quick access. You'll be opening it every time you post.
2
Click the PostMyDeal.ai Icon
It's pinned to your Chrome toolbar

Click the PostMyDeal.ai icon in the top-right of your Chrome browser. The extension popup opens and immediately begins scanning the page.

You'll see a loading indicator while the extension reads the inventory. This usually takes 5–15 seconds depending on how many vehicles are on the page.

💻 If you don't see the icon, it may not be pinned. Click the 🧩 puzzle piece in the toolbar and pin PostMyDeal.ai. See Getting Started Step 4.
3
Log In (first time only)
Your session stays saved after the first login

The first time you open the extension, you'll be asked to sign in with your PostMyDeal.ai email and password. After that, your session is saved and you won't need to log in again unless you sign out manually.

  • Enter the email and password you used when creating your account at postmydeal.ai.
  • Click Sign In. The extension validates your subscription and loads the vehicle results.
⚠️ If you see "Active subscription required", your account may be on the Free plan or your subscription may have lapsed. Visit postmydeal.ai/#pricing to check your plan.
4
Select the Vehicles You Want to Post
Check one, several, or all — you're in control

After scanning, the popup shows a list of all vehicles found on the page with their photo, title, price, and mileage. Two scraping modes are available depending on your DMS:

Standard
DOM Scraper
Reads vehicle data directly from the page HTML. Faster, but requires a supported DMS layout. Works on Free plan too.
  • Use the checkboxes on each vehicle card to select the ones you want to post.
  • Or click "Select All" to check everything on the page at once.
  • The post bar at the bottom shows your selection count: "POST 3 SELECTED TO MARKETPLACE".
💡 On your first few sessions, post 1–3 vehicles to get comfortable with the flow. You can always come back and post more.

AI Vision Processes Your Vehicles
Gemini reads photos and extracts all listing data automatically

When you click POST, the extension sends each vehicle's photos to Google Gemini Vision AI, which reads the images and extracts: year, make, model, trim, price, mileage, color, transmission, condition, and VIN.

You click POST
Photos sent to Gemini
AI extracts all fields
Facebook opens

You'll see a progress screen in the popup showing which vehicle is being analyzed: "Analyzing 2 / 5 vehicles…". The background service worker handles this even if you close the popup — you don't need to keep it open.

⏱ Processing takes about 10–20 seconds per vehicle. A batch of 5 vehicles takes roughly 1–2 minutes total.
6
Facebook Marketplace Opens Automatically
The extension fills in every field for you

After AI Vision finishes, the extension opens Facebook Marketplace → Create new listing → Vehicle for sale in a new tab and starts filling in all fields automatically:

  • Title — Year Make Model Trim (e.g. "2021 Toyota Camry SE")
  • Price — Pulled directly from your DMS listing
  • Mileage — Formatted correctly for Facebook's input field
  • Color, Transmission, Condition — Selected from the dropdown menus
  • Description — AI-generated from the vehicle details
  • Photos — Up to 25 images uploaded from your DMS listing automatically

After the first vehicle is queued and Facebook opens, the extension waits 45 seconds before processing the next one. This anti-detection cooldown mimics natural human behavior and protects your Facebook account.

⚠️ Don't close the Facebook tab or navigate away while the listing is being filled. Wait for the extension to finish before touching anything.
7
Review and Publish
A final 10-second check before going live

When the extension finishes filling in the listing, you review it and hit Publish. We recommend a quick 10-second scan:

  • Confirm the price is correct — make sure it matches what you intended to list.
  • Glance at the photos — make sure the right vehicle's photos loaded and the cover photo looks good.
  • Check the description — add any personal notes if you want (optional but increases inquiries).
  • Click Publish on Facebook. The listing goes live immediately.
  • The extension automatically moves to the next vehicle in your queue after the 45-second cooldown.
💡 While one vehicle is in cooldown, you can go back to your inventory tab and keep working on other tasks. The extension handles the posting in the background.

That's the full workflow. 🚗
