Overview

PostMyDeal.ai ("we", "us", "our") operates a Chrome Extension that automates vehicle listing posts to Facebook Marketplace on behalf of car dealership staff and independent sellers. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What Data We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. This is stored securely in Supabase.

Vehicle data: The extension reads vehicle information (Year, Make, Model, Price, Mileage, Condition, Color, Transmission, photos) from your dealership management system (DMS) web pages. This data is used only to populate your Facebook Marketplace listings and is not permanently stored on our servers.

Subscription data: We store your subscription status (active, canceled, plan type) linked to your account. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your credit card information.

Usage data: We log the number of listings posted per session to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse. We do not log the content of your listings.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No Facebook username or password
• No dealer management system (DMS) login credentials
• No browsing history outside of pages where the extension is active
• No microphone, camera, or location data
• No personally identifiable information beyond your account email

How We Use Your Data

• Account access: Your email is used to authenticate you and associate your subscription.
• Posting automation: Vehicle data scraped by the extension is used to fill Facebook Marketplace listing forms on your behalf. It is processed in your browser and not sent to our servers.
• Subscription management: We use your subscription status to grant or restrict access to the extension's features.
• Service communications: We may email you about your subscription (renewal, expiration, payment issues). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — Authentication and database. Stores your account and subscription data. supabase.com/privacy
• Stripe — Payment processing. Handles all billing. We never store payment card data. stripe.com/privacy
• Google Gemini AI — Used to process vehicle photos (Vision API) to extract descriptive information. Images are sent to Google's API and subject to Google's privacy policy. policies.google.com/privacy
• Facebook Marketplace — The extension interacts with Facebook's interface on your behalf. Your use of Facebook is subject to Meta's terms of service and privacy policy.
• Vercel — Hosts our website and API. Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) may be retained per Vercel's policy.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all data in transit, hashed passwords (handled by Supabase Auth), and restricted database access. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Your Rights

• Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@postmydeal.ai.
• Opt out: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future charges; existing data is deleted upon account deletion request.
• Correction: You can update your email or password from within the extension or by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

PostMyDeal.ai is designed for professional use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves. We will notify active subscribers by email of significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
